«i»Dr. Francis "Frank" Monroe graduated from the Philadelphia Dental College on 29 Feb 1884 in Dental Surgery, and practiced in Jamestown, New York. He invented a proprietary product, "Tooth Ache Fiber" (TAF). He also formed the "Monroe Doctoring Company" advocating formaline mouth wash for gum disease. In 1892 he started a cure for drunkeness, "Monroe's Improved Gold Cure Company" in Bemus Point, New York with a number of testamonials. A branch using his method was located at the York Inn Sanitarium in Marion, Indiana. He served as President of Jamestown Dental Association.
