- George lived in Hyde Park and Holyoke, Massachusetts before moving to Springfield and Longmeadow.
He worked for many years at the Springfield Armory, retiring in 1920. He was a member of the Roswell Lee Lodge, A.F. and A.M., a charter member of Esoteric Lodge, A.F. and A.M., of all Scottish Rite Bodies, and of Melha Temple, AAONMS. He was a member of Hope Congregational Church of Springfield since 1891.
