      "Hugh of Tearivan married Janet daughter to Andrew Fraser of Pitcailean by whom he had Andrew and Hugh Munro the Mason."

      Hugh's father lost the estate of Teaninich, but was able to retain Tearivan, which was passed down to Hugh.

      He served as a witness to a contract between Hugh Munro of Teaninich and the heritor of Coul, Culcraggie, Fyrish, and Novar, dated at Alness in 1679.
